Felipe is co-founder of Built World Advisors and co-host of The Built World Podcast, where he speaks with South Florida’s leading real estate players about deals, trends and the stories behind the market.
He began his career in international wealth management, advising global clients at ABN AMRO, Itaú Private Bank and HSBC Private Bank. Finance shaped his client work, but real estate was the long-term plan, so he completed a Master’s in Real Estate Development and Urbanism at the University of Miami.
Felipe later joined StreetEasy and Zillow after their 2013 merger, working where property and technology meet. He went on to co-found Gridics, a zoning and mapping company, leading business development and partnerships with developers, brokers, attorneys and city governments, as well as CinderFit, a patented fitness product used in both home and commercial gyms.
He studied International Relations at Syracuse University and also holds a Master’s in Organizational Management from the School for International Training. A former Peace Corps volunteer in Guatemala, he once cycled 1,000 miles solo from Guatemala to Panama. He speaks Portuguese and Spanish, and keeps family life with his wife of 15 years and their young son at the centre of it all.
